Consequences, Victims, No Closure

Every year in the United States, hundreds of innocent drivers, passengers, pedestrians and bicyclists are killed and tens of thousands are injured in preventable crashes. Current laws do not consider it a crime to run a red light and kill someone, it’s a misdemeanor punishable by a small fine, traffic school and maybe a few hours of community service!
We hope that by sharing our stories, individuals will begin to change how they view the privilege of driving a motor vehicle. Continuing to maintain the attitude that “nothing will happen to me” and “bad things only happen to others” is not acceptable. Bad things can happen to you and to those you care about and until every driver understands this, we will continue to repeat the unfortunate victim stories told on the pages of this book.
